There was plenty of excitement in the lounge at Balmoral as we welcomed Channel 10 News to capture our residents taking part in the national AusAlert Test.
Residents gathered around the fireplace while waiting for the 2:00 pm alert. As the national test sounded, everyone proudly held up their mobile phones, creating a fantastic display of community spirit that was filmed by the Channel 10 news crew.
It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase Balmoral Gardens Village on television and highlight what makes our community so special — friendly faces, smiling residents and people who enjoy coming together to support one another.
The event wasn't just about being on TV. It demonstrated how our village stays informed, connected and prepared during important national safety initiatives. It also showed that technology doesn't have to be daunting when neighbours are there to help each other.
A big thank you to all residents who joined in and helped make the day such a success. Whether you were interviewed, appeared on camera or simply came along to enjoy the occasion, your enthusiasm made the event memorable.
